On our car ride out to our shoot location, Joanna and I made small talk. I learned that she one day wants to become a nurse. As my time with Joanna continued, it became obvious to me that she would make the perfect nurse. Her sweet, calm spirt…her old soul…her love for people. I hope that one day she looks back at her senior pictures and smiles knowing she had it all together, even ‘back then.’ Best of luck to you Miss Joanna! I know you will go far!MichellePaynePhotography|JoAnna Wright|Senior-21

Pink Starburst. yep. thats the way to these cuties hearts! And… the way to mine too =) We bonded over our affinity for pink starbursts. Neat how something so little can bring similarities to people decades apart in age. I love seeing these sweet girls and #thosecurls year after year!

I got a call just three days ago from a sweet Mom. Being a Mom myself, I recognized the panic in her voice. She had paid for her daughters senior portraits through another photographer and none of them turned out as they hoped, leaving them only days to get new ones made. I already had a shoot scheduled for that day, but couldn’t turn her away and found a way to make both shoots work. And Im so glad I did. I can’t imagine sweet Haven ever taking a bad picture and so easy to work with. I hope these pics carry a smile all the way to their heart, because they sure did that to me!PicMonkey Collage

The last time I saw sweet Ava, she was a newborn. I was blown away at how much she had grown in the 10 mos between. She tried to fool me in to thinking she was shy but by the end of the session, we were singing if your happy and you know it together and she was sticking her tongue out at me. little stinker!

With school in session, labor day right around the corner and cooler temperatures setting in, I have finally faced the reality that summer is over. I didn’t take as many pictures of our summer as I wanted; I never do. But looking over the pictures I managed to capture over the summer… makes me smile. The kids made memories that will last a life-time and I will forever cherish these sweet moments and relive them every time I see these specials pictures.
